Outlook Express will not send Email

  1. Go into the email account settings and click Change or properties for the account having trouble. In Outlook Express this is Tools->Accounts->Mail Then click Properties. Then click Servers
  2. Make sure that the send and receive mail servers (POP & SMTP) are set to mail.yourdomain.com (yourdomain.com is your domain name)
  3. Make sure the account name is set to the full email address for that account, i.e. instead of just your account mike, it would be mike@yourdomain.com.
  4. Below the account name there is Outgoing Mail Server, check the box that says My Server reguires Authentication. Then click on Settings
  5. Make sure the box that says Use Same Settings as my incoming server is selected. Then click OK
  6. Back on the Email settings screen click Apply to save.

That should fix it.
